Ryan's Grand Canyon Trip

Here are a few of the photos Ryan took in the Grand Canyon. He has over 300 photos, so I tried to select the best ones.

Of course, the first photo is of his destroyed boots. Good thing he made it through the trip with them, but just barely. Thank goodness the ranger station had duct tape! The all purpose fixer upper.

Random Photos

Ryan has some great photos from the Grand Canyon trip. I have yet to access them to place on the blog. Maybe later this week.

Until then, enjoy these random photos.

Elise is ready for Easter and was being silly with her bunny ears.

Cousin Adam (Aunt Nancy in the backround) during my quick trip to Vegas last month. I was lucky enough to be there the same time as my Aunt. Cousins Adam, David, Aunt Nancy and I went to dinner at a great Italian place. David works there, but I can't recall the name (sorry David). This was the only photo that turned out decently on my phone camera. Aunt Nancy has some others.

Joey with his adorable baby girl, Maddy! She is totally a Daddy's girl! I hear, though that she likes her uncles really well. So we already know that she is into guys.

And of course the butterball baby Jacob! JUST LIKE JOEY!! I remember him being rolly-polly and super squishy. Jaky is a solid boy though. Mom, you better start lifting weights so you can hold this child when you visit next month!
Both of the photos above were taken the weekend Joey and I ran the 1/2 marathon in Pheonix/Tempe.
Oh yes, the dog. This is our adorable little doggy, Sparky. This was taken on our return trip from Idaho this past Christmas. Sparky loves to sit on Ryan's lap while traveling. Not I - I can't stand the dog on my lap! What a meanie I am.

"Don't forget to feed the dog"

Those were Ryan's last words to me before he said goodbye for his 8 day backpacking trip to the Grand Canyon. Hmmm, how did he know that the dog would be forgotten? Could it be because I have four human children to take care of? Laundry to keep up with, house to keep a little organized - at best, lunches made, breakfast before 7AM, kids to school and daycare, an 8 hour work day (followed by 2-3 hours at night from home), kids to evening activities, bathed and all put to bed. I know, I am preaching to the masses on this topic. I guess it is my way of saying, "Sparky (Dog) , I am sorry I missed the sign that you needed to poop so you layed it in the hallway. I didn't beat you for it. And I am sorry that you didn't have water all day today - but thanks for not peeing in the house."
We all miss you Ryan! And look forward to your return. But I think Sparky misses you the most, because you are the only one who notices what he needs. At least Sparky hasn't eaten any chocolate and needed a $650 detox.
This is a photo of Nicole and I missing Ryan/Daddy.
Ryan has the camera. When he returns I am sure there will be plenty of grubby man pictures to post. Good thing you won't be able to smell them!
